We offer a range of treatment styles and modalities to suit your needs
At our Whangarei Osteopathic clinic, you can expect expert care from our highly experienced team, boasting over 50 years of combined expertise. Each practitioner brings their own field of specialty to provide comprehensive and tailored healthcare.
Martin has been practicing osteopathy for 12+ years. One of his key areas of interest is Pain Management, and he is currently completing post-graduate study at Otago University in this area. He has a strong focus on clinical diagnostics and exploring the personal experience of pain with clients. This allows him to meet you where you are at and resolve the problem together, rather than just treating the symptoms.
Originally from Germany, Martin has been living in New Zealand for more than 15 years. He studied Osteopathy at Unitec in Auckland. He has a long history of soccer and enjoys running, and he has a passion for making excellent craft beer and carpentry.
Nina is our Mum & Baby specialist Osteopath. She’s a warm and caring person with a real passion for working with women’s health, pregnancy, postpartum, and new babies. Nina completed a Masters in Osteopathy in 2017, and has since pursued a range of post-graduate training. As such, her treatment style can vary widely to best fit your needs on the day. She has a strong foundation in structural osteopathy, and often compliments this with more subtle techniques such as cranial osteopathy and visceral (organ) manipulation.
Nina is also a certified Birth Doula, which has allowed her to support a variety of women during their births. You can find out more about Nina here.
Adrian’s approach acknowledges the mechanical aspects of your presentation as well as the nuances of visceral or nerve tensions, and any emotional component that may be impacting your body.
With a background in auto-mechanics, learning body mechanics came easily to Adrian! In 2007, he completed his Osteopathic studies through the Oxford Brookes University in the UK. He’s been living and working in Whangarei for the 17 years since, and is the man behind Turner Osteopathy.
Alongside Osteopathy, Adrian also practices energy healing. You can find out more about Adrian here
Justin is an experienced osteopath with a passion for hands-on therapeutic techniques. He has 25 years of experience in bodywork, combining different styles of acupressure massage with joint manipulation (Chinese Tui Na), Japanese Shiatsu, Traditional Thai Massage, myofascial release and sports massage. He has qualifications in Anthropology, Acupuncture, Acupressure Massage, Herbal Medicine, and a Masters in Osteopathy. His Masters research thesis explored the use of acupuncture by New Zealand Osteopaths.
Justin is from the States, but has lived in New Zealand for several years now. When he’s not at the clinic, he enjoys practicing martial arts, yoga, and archery, and spending time with his family.
Tessa is passionate about holistic health, tailoring treatments and advice to align with each client’s unique lifestyle. After earning her Master of Osteopathy in 2015, Tessa embarked on a continuous learning journey, furthering her expertise in paediatric osteopathy, neurodivergence, pregnancy and postpartum wellbeing, and hypermobility (EDS). This on-going education enhances her ability to support clients from these groups, offering understanding of the complexity of symptoms they may face.
In her practice, Tessa uses a mixture of structural, visceral, and cranial osteopathy. This is complemented by her qualifications as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Pilates Instructor, allowing her to provide nutrition and lifestyle guidance. She also offers specialised Mum & Baby appointments alongside Nina.
Tessa has taken the first step into the world of Animal Osteopathy and looks forward to advancing her knowledge in this area…mainly to meet more cute furbabies!
